Matt Klein - Head Coach
Coach Klein was named the Head Football Coach at Blue Springs South High School in the Spring of 2019. Coach Klein attended Eldon High School and then completed his undergraduate degree from Missouri Valley College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Exercise Science. Coach earned a double Master's Degree: University of Central Missouri-Master's of Arts in Teaching and William Woods University-Education Administration. Coach Klein began his teaching and coaching career at Versailles High School for one year before moving to Pleasant Hill High School coaching LB's and as Special Team Coordinator for five years. Coach then accepted the Head Football Coach at Knob Noster High School during the 2014 season before accepting the same position at Marquette. His position at Marquette grew to Head Coach in 2014. Coach is a Strength & Conditioning/Health Instructor. Coach Klein is married to his wife Adrienne for 10 years and they have two children. Justin 5, Lydia 3, and their third child was born in January.

Mike Fansher - Defensive Coordinator
Mike began coaching varsity football at South in 1998. He is currently the Defensive Coordinator and coaches the linebackers. He has a B.S. degree in education from the University of Central Missouri (‘96) and a M.A. degree in education from Webster University (‘00). For 13 years, he taught eighth-grade Science in Blue Springs at Georgeff-Baker and Moreland Ridge middle schools. He was the SSSP Instructor at VVHS for eight years. In the 2017-18 school year, Mike became the In-School Detention Instructor at South.
Mike’s wife, Christy, is an English teacher in the Lee’s Summit School District and a proud BSS Jaguar coach’s wife. They are the parents of Peyton (18) and Presley (13).

Head Freshman Coach

Doug Schibi - Freshman Linebackers
Coach Doug Schibi is entering his 2nd season coaching for the Jaguars.
Coach Schibi graduated from Pittsburg State University (KS) in 2006 with a degree in Physical Education/Special Education and also played football from 2001-2005. Coach Schibi just recently earned his Master’s degree in Administration from William Woods University in 2014.
Coach Schibi will be an assistant freshmen coach and will take on the role as receivers and linebackers. Prior to Blue Springs South, Coach Schibi coached at Oak Grove High in Oak Grove, MO for 5 seasons and served on the coaching staff that won the 2014 Missouri Class 3 State title.
Coach Schibi has been married 5 years to his beautiful wife, Jessica, who also teaches 3rd grade in the district at John Nowlin. Coach also has two beautiful children, Dawson 4, and Adleigh who will turn 2 in November.
